Modern housing construction is essentially stuck in a pre-industrial mode. Other product categories manufacturing practices grow with advanced production techniques, robotics and other innovations. However, the majority of houses and other buildings are still being nailed together, by hand, on site, in the most inefficient manner. The Boxabl vision is to flip the building industry on its head by creating a fully customizable, but standardized home system that allows for true mass production of homes. Along with mass production, comes a whole new set of economics.
The Boxabl project was conceived by founder Paolo Tiramani to address serious limitations in housing construction technology. Paolo has a proven track record of creating new, billion dollar product categories. His work includes 50+ patents spanning, automotive, construction to medical and housework.
Boxabl parent company 500 Group inc, recently announced they will commit additional funding to develop the project. This includes setting up headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada, beginning a pilot production facility, continuing R&D, intellectual property filings, and refining further innovations.
